Types of Invisible Grille

Our Invisible Grilles compromises of our slim, tensioned cables and aluminium fixing systems to create a discreet protective barrier across windows, balconies and other openings. Choose from fixed or openable configurations to match your home, access requirements and preferred wire spacing.

Fixed Type

Fixed Type Invisible Grille

A permanently grille type for openings where day-to-day access is not required. Suitable for most windows, balconies and service-yard applications with no access required. For windows, spacing and placement should allow reasonable access to handles and glass-cleaning areas.

Frame Type / Structural Frame

Frame type invisible grille

Uses an aluminium frame where the mounting condition does not provide a suitable direct fixing surface or where a defined framed edge is preferred. Often relevant to balcony or windows with false walls,  false ceilings and selected window conditions.

Swing Type

Swing type invisible grille

An openable hinged configuration for areas that need occasional access. The grille panel opens like a casement, combining protection with convenient reach to the exterior side of the opening.

Sliding Type

Sliding invisible grille

Openable panels move laterally along a track. This is useful where a swinging panel would interfere with furniture, curtains or circulation space.

Bi-fold Type

Bifold invisible grille

Multiple grille panels fold together to create a wider access opening while keeping the system compact when opened.

Door Type

Door type invisible grille

A grille-door configuration for selected access points where security, ventilation and visibility are all required.

Invisible Grille Specifications

Choose the spacing based on the opening, household needs, access requirements and desired visual openness. The following sizes are reference options and should be confirmed against our current offering.

Clear and friendly communication. Superb quality of grilles and friendly, punctual and diligent team who came to install the grilles. They even made special adjustments for our odd-shaped balcony to keep our cats safe with an extra grille wire.

Ann Pichestapong

Very good service, attitude and workmanship from Jonas and his team in installing casement grilles onto my windows.

Jane L

Very responsive salesman (Ivan) and the installation men are professional. Be frank, this is the first time I experienced same day installation after I approved the quote (though is only one window grille). Hence, would like to thank them for their excellent and quick installation service, and I appreciate they helped me to put back the furniture & clean up the surroundings after the invisible grille installed. Highly recommended.

Cindy Tan

From the first contact to my multiple enquiries, their staff Ivan has been most responsive and helpful. Their installation team is very hardworking and professional. Most of all , the invisible grille on my balcony is beautiful!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is an invisible grille worth it?

Answer: For many Singapore high-rise homes, yes. Invisible grilles can be worth it when you want an additional safety barrier without making your windows or balcony feel boxed in. We recommend choosing the grille specification around how the space is used, taking into account children, pets, balcony exposure and whether you need an openable section. If maximum intrusion deterrence is your main concern, particularly on a low floor, a rigid metal grille may be a better fit.

Are invisible grilles HDB approved?

Answer: Invisible grilles can be suitable for HDB homes, but suitability depends on your flat and the installation location; there is no universal HDB approval label for every installation. HDB lists the installation or replacement of grilles at service yards and balcony parapets as work requiring a permit. Applicable approved designs and flat-specific guidelines must also be followed. Internal window grilles generally do not require a permit, subject to HDB's conditions. Check your flat's renovation guidelines before proceeding.

How much does an invisible grille cost?

Answer: As a budgeting guide, our installation prices for non-openable systems range from S$7 to S$15 per sq ft. The most accurate cost comes from the actual measurements and specifications of your opening. Narrower cable spacing for pets, an openable frame or a more complex installation can significantly affect the total. Treat online prices per square foot as a starting point rather than a final quotation.

How much does an invisible window grille cost?

Answer: For a single window, the cost depends on its width and height, the number of panels, cable spacing and whether the grille is fixed, sliding or casement-style. As an indicative budgeting reference, fixed invisible grilles may start from around S$170 per window. We recommend a quotation based on actual measurements rather than relying on a generic per-window price.

What are the downsides of using an invisible grille?

Answer: Invisible grilles offer a visually open appearance, but they are not the best solution for every need. Cable systems are intended mainly for fall prevention rather than maximum anti-intrusion security. On balconies, invisible grilles also do not replace blinds, screens or other products designed to protect against sun, rain or insects.

How long do invisible grilles typically last?

Answer: A well-installed invisible grille system can often last around 5–10 years or longer, depending on its materials, installation, maintenance and exposure to the elements. For exposed balconies, we recommend paying attention to the stainless steel grade, cable tension and the condition of the anchoring points. Periodic inspections are sensible, especially where the grilles receive direct sun and rain.

Are invisible grilles suitable for homes with children?

Answer: Invisible grilles can provide an additional barrier at windows and balconies while keeping the space visually open. However, no installation should replace active supervision or other appropriate child-safety measures. The suitability of a system depends on the opening, cable spacing, anchoring and installation quality.

Are invisible grilles suitable for cats and other pets?

Answer: Invisible grilles can create an additional barrier for pets, but the cable spacing and configuration must suit the animal and the opening. The pet's size, climbing behaviour and the condition of the installation all matter. Let us assess the proposed installation areas and recommend a suitable configuration for your pet.
